Receiver / Separate Amp question, Confused?? (1 Viewer)

Hello one of these will be my speakers

This will be my receiver

My question is, is this receiver powerful enough to be able to run these speakers, and if not am I able to buy a separate amp that can plug into the receiver so it is powerful enough?

The VSX-60 would be enough for me but I guess it depends on how loud you want to listen. That receiver doesn't have pre-outs so you can't hook up an amp to it. The CV 215's have a 3 db higher effeciency rating so they will play louder with the same power then the 15's.

The first speaker is 6 ohm with a 93 sensitivity, the second is a 95 sensitivity. Those are both very efficient speakers, meaning that receiver, or any normal receiver, will allow you to go deaf. So you're good.
The VSX-60 does not have pre-outs (except for the sub and zone2), so you cannot connect another amp to it. But again, there's no reason to do so.

Why are you wanting to buy a 5.1 AVR when, in you other posts this is for a stereo configuration??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Has pre-outs so you can connect an amp if it doesn't have enough oomph to make you go deaf soon enough.

I would also like to you this for my TV and DVD/BlueRay if I have one, sorry I did not specify this, also for that receiver I do not want to buy a separate docking station for my Iphone just more money
