I think if we were going to get "The Green Hornet" in any form it would have been released around "Batman '66". I don't see any kind of a window for it now ...

Didn't it also have some ownership/legal issues to overcome, ones that were also complicated (but different)? Maybe those issues still haven't been resolved.

There's been a persistent rumor that the New Phil Silvers Show will be issued in the UK . I hope that happens .
There was talk about it in the The Phil Silvers Appreciation Society page on Facebook which is ran by Mick Clews and Steve Everitt, two of the principal figures in getting the original to DVD. I think the plans have came to a halt for now, but it would be nice to see it.

I would like to see this series which I came across recently:

https://www.tvobscurities.com/articles/freedom/

This show was on UPN in October 2020. Looks pretty good, but there appear to be no copies online (save for a few episodes at archive.org in very poor quality), available for streaming, or on media.

Karen (1964-65). I liked Debbie Watson in Tammy and would enjoy seeing her in Karen too. Neil Brock in one of the other threads mentioned about this show a while back. I wasn't familiar with it at the time, but saw some clips on YouTube and it seems like a fun sit-com, kind of like The Patty Duke Show. I like the theme song by The Beach Boys too on Karen. By the way, Debbie Watson turns 75 tomorrow 1/17.

I was very young in 1964 but remember this show mainly because it was part of a failed experiment entitled 90 Bristol Court, which had three separate sitcoms all situated in the same California condo complex. The only cast member that appeared in all three sitcoms was the caretaker played by Guy Raymond who wandered in and out of each show as a way of tying the shows together. Karen was the lead-off show and as you suggested, it was meant to appeal to younger audiences. As I recall, Debbie Watson made an appealing lead, but the show itself was nothing special. By mid-season, the network decided to scrap the whole format of 90 Bristol Court, cancelling the other two shows, Tom, Dick and Mary and Jack Klugman's Harris Against the World since none of the shows were making much of a dent in the ratings. Karen survived as a standalone show since it's ratings were marginally better, lasting a full season before getting the ax.

Way too many to list (I've been watching TV since the 50s), but I'll try.

1960s:
Insight (1960) -- An anthology series with a religious bent, but not a proselytizing one. A lot of fascinating episodes, with fascinating casts. A number of episodes are available (legally) on YouTube.

[On edit: Not sure why I added this in. It's definitely not "short lived". In fact, it ran about 25 years.]

1980s:
E-R (1984) -- The medical sitcom set in Chicago with George Clooney, not the medical drama set in Chicago with George Clooney.
Murphy's Law (1988)
Probe (1988)
Shannon's Deal (1999) -- Created by John Sayles. I've never seen an episode, but I would dearly love to.
Zorro and Son (1983)

1990s:
The Adventures of Pete & Pete (1991)
Byrds of Paradise (1994)
EZStreets (1996)
Fallen Angels (1993)
Flash Forward (1995)
Kurt Vonnegut's Monkey House (1991)
Mann & Machine (1992)
On the Air (1992) -- The David Lynch series. I have a Japanese LD of all 7 episodes, but I don't have a currently working player.
Picket Fences (1992)
Picture Windows (1995)
So Weird (1999)
Strange Luck (1995)
Total Recall 2070 (1999)
Tribeca (1993)
Under Cover (1991)
Under Suspicion (1994)
VR.5 (1995)

2000s:
Awake (2001)
Boomtown (2002) -- First season was released on DVD, short second season was not.
Century City (2004) -- Only four episodes aired in the US. Five episodes aired elsewhere, I believe.
Karen Sisco (2003)
New Amsterdam (2008) -- The fantasy series with Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, not the medical drama.
Touching Evil (2004) -- American version with Jeffrey Donovan (I have the British version).
Women's Murder Club (2007)

2010s:
Berlin Station (2016)
BrainDead (2016)
The Chicago Code (2011)
Emergence (2019)
Hap & Leonard (2016)

2020s:
Debris (2020)

Canadian:
Endgame (2011)
Moccasin Flats (2003)
Rabbit Fall (2007)
Shattered (2010)
Todd & the Book of Pure Evil (2010)

Australian:
Five Mile Creek (1983)

Others:
Äkta människor [Real Humans] (Sweden, 2012) -- The original Swedish series remade as the British series Humans (2015)

And while technically it's not "short lived", I'd really, really love to buy on disc a complete series set of Remember WENN.

A lot of great MIA shows already mentioned, I'd like to sing the praises of...

Frank's Place (1987-88 CBS) sit-com/dramedy that was cancelled after 22 episodes...WKRP's Tim Reid left Simon & Simon to do this wonderful show, as a Boston professor who takes over his late father's New Orleans restaurant. Featuring a mostly African American cast of richly drawn and lovable eccentric characters, touching dramedy at times, and steeped in NOLA atmosphere, history, folklore and mythology...Tim Reid's always been great, but of all his great work, Frank's Place was my favorite...

Last time I checked, there were 8 episodes up for viewing on YT...

Tim Reid interview on the why Frank's Place was cancelled, despite good ratings, the truth told to Tim Reid by no-less than CBS board member Walter Cronkite!

Yes, nothing special but still seems like a fun show mainly because of Debbie's appealing charm and perky personality.

If we can only revive the DVD tv series market! There has to be a way. Pick up right where the studios left off. Was Paramount working on Ben Casey and Our Miss Brooks? What can we do to get the studios to pick up the market again?

archive.org has the pilot movie. the whole series was there at one point last year, and i shoulda saved them, 'cause the next time i visited they'd been taken down.
