to Dave Bennett: what day in December were you born, I was born 12/18/1980.

BTW, I don't know about you guys but I cannot wait for about the past two weeks I have been dreaming about riding around on that red motorcycle with the wind blowing through my hair, ahhh so peaceful, then I would start drivebys of course. I feel like such a nerd because every new screenshot I see Icry.

I paid the full amount of this game back in May but by reciept says GTA4, I should bring it in and make sure they are going to honor for this game, because at the time I preordered EB only had boxes on the shelfs that said GTA Miami Vice, not Vice City

Joe,
I was born 12/16/80. As for Vice City, I preordered mine from EB Games on September 12th or so, I better get my copy on the 29th as I paid for 1 day shipping.

I saw a commercial for Vice City last night. It was a portion of the Flock of Seagulls trailer. :)
Can't Oct. 29th get here faster?

Who's not pre-ordering? I figure I should be able to go to Best Buy or Circuity CIty and get a copy of it on launch day and am hoping someone is going to have a deal. I figure it's likely, since this is the biggest game launch of the year - someone like Best Buy should have a deal on it.

I'd be surprised if there were many deals, GTA3 is still on the top selling games lists and still retails for $75-$80 around here. I'm not preordering though. I'll trundle around the stores the following Friday rather than buy it for an extra $10 from EB (the only store in my area likely to get it on launch day).

I went ahead and preorder mine back in September just in case. Plus this way I'll have it without having to drive to the mall on a tuesday after class(and probably lose my parking space). Either way I don't want to wait any extra days for this game. I've been excited about this game ever since I heard it was set in the 80's

I figure since it's such a big launch, you might see a deal where you buy the game + an accessory at Best Buy and save $10 instantly or something. that would be ocol since I need a controller extension for my PS2.

Either way, I really want this game, but have sooo many other thingw to play.

Guess I'm the only one skipping out on Vice City? Well I won't be getting on the 29th that is, mainly because a little title called Steel Batallion comes out a few weeks later and I am already struggling to pay for that plus my Xbox Live kit. So Vice City will have to wait until later for me.

Two weeks from tomorrow gentleman! For those of you who are interested, IGN posted a long interview about the radio stations in the game as well as the upcoming soundtrack CDs.
Check it out, it's no longer insider only.

Trust me, I'm quite familar with "I Ran" already (my old roommate and I said that despite being cheezy, it's the only song we've ever head that incoroporates the words aurora borealis).
"Pocahontas", from the Neil Young and Crazy Horse album "Rust Never Sleeps".
Woo-hoo!

I was born on December 22nd, 1982...

The 80s are my favorite decade...

I have never played a PS2 game before, and this is going to be the first one I purchase for myself. I'll have to play it on my brother's PS2, but that's okay, he's still in school and I have 2 days off from work per week.

Sincerely,

John Kilduff...

Time to kick ass to Hall & Oates!

Basically, it means the developer has presented the publisher with a 'gold master' - a finished version of the game that the publisher will send off to the relevant factory to be mastered & mass produced.

Hopefully in two weeks and a few hours I will be causing mayhem in Vice City. I don't think I've ever been this excited for a video game.

Just a quick heads up Rockstar has posted a new trailer!
Check it out at www.grandtheftautovicecity.com and click movies. Select the October trailer.
Also, for IGN insiders, head to ps2.ign.com and read their extensive hands on preview of a near final build of Vice City. Suprise suprise, they're in love with the game. The 29th won't come soon enough. It's almost the 17th now, so that's 12 days to go :)
Edit-Just noticed that in the new trailer, there is a guy wearing a t-shirt that says "Relax". My guess is that Relax by Frankie Goes To Hollywood is one of the unannounced songs that will be in the game.

Eric,
Thanks for posting that. Someone posted it to Gamefaqs.com but Rockstar made them remove it so I wouldn't be suprised if that happens here. I'm slightly disappointed in some of their selections and that they didn't include the music from GTA3's Flashback FM (the scarface songs). It would have been cool to hear them in a very scarface influenced game. That and it would make some of the things Toni says in GTA3 make more sense. Oh well, glad I held onto my copy of GTA3 if for no other reason than the music. Overall that's a great track list. some very pleasent suprised on it!
