^ I live in the Philadelphia suburbs and Camden is a nightmare. Crime is so rampant and so 'accepted' that even the local news doesn't try to sensationalize and they barely bother covering the crimes that occur there anymore. There can be a quadruple homicide and it gets 20 seconds of coverage and then they spend 2 minutes on You Tube footage of a cat playing with a ball of string.

I'm almost through season two and am still enjoying the series. There are so many well-drawn characters--many of those on the side of the law are obviously flawed people, and some of the bad guys aren't all bad (D'Angelo Barksdale, e.g.). Being in the newspaper business myself, I'm looking forward to seeing how the series treats the newspaper world in season five.
