Mozilla has done it, it is now my primary browser. For all Opera Fans: Mozilla has now optional tab browsing (so that only one browser window is opened in the Windows taskbar and all opened sites can be accesed via the Mozilla tab) and there is a mouse gestures plugin which works exactly like in Opera. :)
Of course it got more stable and faster. If you are intersted get it at [url=http://www.mozilla.org

Downloaded it, installed it, started it. Still the same as before (on several different computers) - it absolutely refuses to load any pages.
I type in an url, any url like http://www.mozilla.org

I've been completely hooked to Opera for a long time, so maybe I'll give Mozilla a try.

After further testing I did get it to work, but the central feature in Opera, tabbed pages, seems like an afterthought in Mozilla.
It could be really great if someone created an Opera look-a-like mozilla based browser; Opera does have some issues displaying certain pages.
Still, I'm going to stick with Opera, I like the way things work in it better. Familiarity with Opera may be a factor, of course, but it also seems a lot snappier still.

Yep, the tab feature is more or less an afterthought, it was implented only three weeks ago but already works very nice. There are still some improvements they could need like e.g. to save the open tabs when closing and show them on the next start.
The problem with Mozilla at the moment is that the XUL GUI, which assures platform compatibility, is still a little slow (they successfully concentrated on stability until now - I didn't have a single crash in 3 days using it as my primary browser). But the rendering engine ("Gecko") is the best out there at the moment.
