I'm sure similar questions have been posted many times, but my search using the search came up pretty dry.
Anyway, here's the deal. I have a friend who is looking to buy a 48 inch for around 1500 bucks. Yesterday he said he saw a Mits, Sony, and a Hitachi that he liked. He wasn't sure what models they were but they were all either 48 or 46 inches and were all in the 1500 ballpark. He said that if he had to pick the best picture it would go the the Hitachi, but he understands that not all the tv's are optimally set up at the store.
I have a Mits 65311, so I know he would like the Mits especially if it is a 2004 model because I have heard that those come with better stretch modes and a dvi input. I don't know much about the other two brands.
Any thoughts??
