Yeah that's my fear actually, this will likely be a PG-13 movie, that doesn't mean it will be bad but i'd like a hard R for these films, i guess some might say that the present day PG-13 is actually as tough as the old eighties R rated flicks, for sure you get away with more violence with PG-13 these days, they need to make their money back and i think PG-13 is probable.
Agreed -- The Road Warrior is probably 20 seconds' worth of cuts away from being PG-13, by today's standards.

I recently had a similar thought about the original Friday the 13th. Not only was it not nearly as violent or sexual as Dressed to Kill, which came out roughly around the same time, but it utterly pales in comparison to what you can see on network television today. The Road Warrior as released has maybe one scene in it that would automatically warrant an "R" today, the rape/murder scene; the rest of it is a matter of mere seconds here or there.
The trailer clearly has "rated R"-stuff in it -- like that cloud of blood spraying as a body hits one of the trucks. If there is a PG-13 version, there is almost certainly R-rated footage.

That said, I fully expect a PG-13, and can live with it. It's that whole world I'm looking forward to visiting again. Besides, as has probably been noted, Thunderdome is PG-13, and I really like that film.
I just hope those bad guys don't catch up to those girls...

Holy shit, this new trailer:

I usually roll my eyes when a trailer says, "From the Visionary Director of..."

This one fucking earned that, if they want to actually use it.

Also, I can't quite get over the fact that there is a huge fucking truck, with an AC/DC wall of speakers and a guy playing guitar while all this mayhem is happening onscreen.

It's just too glorious.

I've kinda had enough of movies about dystopian futures, but boy, the photography in that trailer is stunningly beautiful.

Played on C500 DOLBY STEREO Lucasfilm THX sound system / JBL

I like the choice of classical music in the trailer to sell it as an epic, made me chuckle with joy. :)

I synced up the two videos at point "Oh what day. What a lovely day"

Love the visuals of the trailer but found the music tonally distracting at times with the images which diminished the experience.

Some classical music in WATERWORLD MAD MAX on the waters. :P I like the old spice the mark of a the mariner. Carl Orff - O Fortuna. The classical music didn't help the box office too well.

MAX MAX FURY ROAD $100 million so can it make over 200 million a few times to be sure winner? Or will it make $75 to 80 million or break even?

There are some shots where Tom Hardy looks uncannily like Mel Gibson as Max in the first film.

Even so, I don't think I'd be interested if George Miller weren't back writing and directing.

Tom Hardy, might have the right tone and attitude for the Max, character.

Physical body build makes him look like the pit-bull.

Having picked up the blu-ray boxset last week, very eagerly awaiting this. Both trailers amazing except for the music as agreed with most.
