The center of my home theater is a Pioneer VSX-823K. My pioneer compact disc player with the 6 disc magazine has seen better days so I wanted to start looking for a replacement. I want to keep everything Pioneer and I came across a Pioneer DV-FO7 ELITE 301 CD and DVD player in excellent condition made in 2001 for $300.00. My question is would this be a wise purchase and would it be a good compliment for my system?

Changers are much more complex that regular single-tray players and as such more prone to failure with heavy use. I don’t think I’d pay more than $150 for one, unless the seller claims it’s seen little use.
