If someone had a red theater room, couldn't they just reduce the level of red output from their their projector/source to compensate for the red being reflected back on screen?
The amount of red tint bouncing back onto the screen will vary, based upon the brightness of the particular scene illuminating the screen. Changing the calibration of the projector in an attempt to compensate for room decor is not wise. Additionally, such alteration of the projector will not compensate for any shift in perceived color when your peripheral vision registers the illuminated red walls.
