I was fortunate enough to secure a great deal on a pair of Martin Logan Expression ESL13A speakers.

Can’t wait to pick them up and install them!! The finish is piano black which matches my BF210 subwoofers.

My two strong boys and I finally got them upstairs into the theater.

All I can say is: WOW!!!!
Of course I expected an improvement over the previous Ethos mains. I didn’t expect anything like this. Too late to blast a movie but the 2 channel music was incredible. So good that now I’m thinking about reinvesting in vinyl.

It’s not often that I don’t have Buyer’s Remorse on a big purchase no matter how long I contemplate it.

Not this time!!!

No issues w/ sidewalls reflections for that type of speakers?

I do seem to recall electrostatics have narrow(er) dispersion and sweet spot (though they could probably still use more space to "breathe" nonetheless), so maybe that's not nearly as much a problem... although that would probably also mean less good performance outside the best seat (but that might just be relative)...

Used to love the idea of getting a pair (long ago)... and they certainly look awesome...

Anyway, congrats on your new speakers! And enjoy!

My room has a lot of natural traps by no real design effort from me. I built the room above a two story hallway and formal dining room but it worked out audio-wise very well. The imaging is stellar but yes, there is a sweet spot. I’ve never had a setup that didn’t have one spot that’s better than the rest.

Room is approximately 20’ by 13.5’

I still recommend trying them farther from the side walls. If it's possible to have the subs outside the speakers (next to the wall) without the speakers blocking the screen, I heartily suggest giving it a try. @John Dirk recently made that same change and I believe it made a huge improvement.
