in-wall surge protector for lcd? (1 Viewer)

I have an extremely small space behind my wall-mounted lcd, so a plug-in surge protector won't work.

I was wondering if the Monster in-wall surge protector was worth the price or if there were any other alternatives, hopefully cheaper.

Or, is it even necessar? Could I just install a regular outlet?
