HTPC + X1 - Best Connection? (1 Viewer)

I'm building a new HTPC to connect with my InFocus X1. My question is, what is the best way to connect the HTPC (ATI Radeon 9600 Pro) to the X1?
I was thinking of using a long monitor cable to attach directly to the VGA port - or I could use the VGA-Component break-out cable and use a longish (16ft) component cable.
Which connection would be better, or would it make any difference.

VGA would be best since it splits H/V along with RGB. www.sfcable.com sells triple shielded/dual-ferite cables at good prices.

VGA is the way to go, and you will probably want nothing less than an AViC VGA Cable to do the job. Check them out at holomaxx.com/avic
