I have a Sound Blaster Live 5.1 and the DTT2200 speaker system. The sound is really OK to me, only the bass is not strong enough so i decided to connect another active subwoofer to my soundcard. How could i do that?

By active I assume you mean powered and hopefully with crossover. In that case all you need is a mini-phono/3.5mm-RCA cable to run from an open set of line outs to the sub's amp. This soundcard also has a digital output to hook up to a HT reciever which could decode the signal and hook the sub up to the LFE output.

Thanks for the response, but i am not going to use an external receiver, instead the SB Live 5.1 decoding will do just fine. But then how will i be able to hook up the powered subwoofer to my soundcard, 'couse all the line outs are occupied?
