Hookup help needed (1 Viewer)

My sister needs to hook up a Samsung HW-Q59CT 5.1 soundbar and a Blu-ray player to her Sony 75X900H TV. The TV and soundbar both have ARC. Any advice would be great. I've never had a soundbar.

Will she be using the smart apps on the TV? Will she also be connecting a cable/satellite box/DVR?

Yes, she will be using the TV apps. No cable box, sat. box, or DVR.

Just the TV, Blu-ray player, 5.1 soundbar(and the sub that comes with it).

The soundbar/sub comes with a HDMI cable and optical digital cable. She just needs to use the HDMI cable, correct ?

1. HDMI TO TV (ARC) from soundbar to HDMI IN (ARC) on TV
2. HDMI OUT on Blu-ray to HDMI IN on soundbar

You will not need the optical cable.

You'll also have to set the TV to use ARC or HDMI for sound instead of its own speakers.
