Keep your overscan near 4.5%, on the 20B models it works better.

Michael,

I have the Hitachi 61SWX10B. I can get in the service menu fine by pressing input and power. However, I see no ISF menu and I've scrolled through every screen. Where is it and how do I get to it?

hi Jay

there is no ISF mode on the xxx10B series, only on the 2002 and 2003 models.

A few other notes on the newer Hitachis:

Most of the color decoder error can be corrected by changing the colorgo parameter to 1 (from 0).

If you set the overscan at less than 5% the magic focus will not function correctly.

Hey Gregg,

Thanks for the reply. You are coming to my house to do all this for me but I have really have had a lot of fun learning about it myself so I'm doing some of it now. I now know just enough to be dangerous. It does help when I am more knowledgeable about it when I purchase a new set in the future or when the repairman comes out and knows less than I do.
