Hi everyone. I dont know a whole lot about HDTVs. I just recently bought a 50 inch Sony KF-50WE610 HDTV. I have been offered a 50 inch Sony KDF-50WE655 at a great price. Do either TVs have 1080i resolution? Which is the better TV? Thanks for any feedback.

The 655 has HDMI interface as apposed to the HDCP-DVI on your present TV. Other than that the performance is virtually the same. HDMI will be a usefull feature for the future of video. If you can get all your money back from returning your 610 then you may want to get the 655 if it is new and undamaged. Hope this was helpfull, if you have anymore questions feel free to post them.

If you are asking if either of these TVs are 1080p resolution the answer is no. They both are 1368x788 resolution sets which falls into the 720p category. To be a "1080" set it would have to resolve 1080 lines in the vertical direction, such as 1920x1080, etc.

Incidently, the 50WE610 is a 2003 model and the 50WE655 is a 2004 model. Sony is currently rolling out the 2007 models so you might want to take that into consideration (and this would also explain why the prices on the older models are so much more attractive.)
