Hey gang...new guy here.
I bought a "home theater" receiver some fifteen years ago, and decided to come into this century just yesterday with a brand new receiver and blu-ray player.
I've got nothing esoteric, just some basic Sony separates linked to a 65" Sharp Aquos.
For the whole time I had the previous "home theater" set up, my wife was less than impressed.
However, after I got the new components connected up yesterday, I put "Aeon Flux" in the blu-ray player. If you aren't familiar with that movie, the first scene is a fly buzzing about.
I watched with slight amusement as my wife was suddenly looking around, trying to locate the bee she thought had flown in through the window. All of a sudden she connected the sound with the scene on the tv...NOW she is impressed with home theater!
