That is awesome and damn right I'm getting this! I believe this is the last volume in the series then, as I assume he went to Columbia to complete his career of short subjects there from 1938-1940?

It's said to be the last volume, yes (although they skipped a few of the earliest talkies).

Chase did one 2-strip Technicolor short at M-G-M called "Hollywood Party" (no relation to the 1934 feature film) and then did the Columbia shorts, which have been released in two volumes by Sony Select.
