Flat Panel Monitors (1 Viewer)

Hi, I just bought an NEC 15" LCD monitor and am having a problem. The picture looks great unless the screen is black. When that happens there's a white halo around the top and bottom edges. Is this normal? I'd hate to drag the damn thing back to the store and end up with the same problem with my replacement. I bought it at Circuit City and trust you guys with this info more than them. I'd be grateful to anyone who can help me out.

I have a Princeton GRaphics Senergy750 and it seems to have bright areas around the edges when looking at dark scenes. However, the brightness seems to go away after about 5 minutes of that setting. If i watch a DVD with black bars on the edges, the brightness is gone after a few minutes. It seems like it needs to "burn in" a bit. I don't think you should be worried about it.
