I have a 6.1 receiver that I will be using to power just two speakers for music only. Can I bi-amp my speakers by setting my receiver to 6 channel stereo and using the left right speaker outputs to power the high/mid and use the surround channels to power the woofer? Or is it better to just use the left and right front speaker outputs to power 2 speakers? Thanks!!!

I suppose, but any “benefit” you get by biamping may well be negated by the digital processing that generates the 6-channel stereo setting. Not to mention, you will not be able to use the receiver for watching movies or TV shows anymore.
