Next generation consoles from Microsoft and Sony will be a hot commodity this holiday season if pre-order status is any indication. Launch day editions of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 have long since been sold out at Amazon and the same is now true at a number of major retailers as well.
Just yesterday, GameStop stopped taking pre-orders for the PlayStation 4. The company’s website now shows the release day model as out of stock with the next batch not expected in stock until December 31. Today brings word that Best Buy is now sold out of pre-orders for the Xbox One. Some brick and mortar stores said they would reopen pre-orders if more inventory is added ahead of launch but don’t count on it.
Have you ordered your PS4 or XBox one yet?
