I was wondering if anyone here know of any good books on Akira Kurosawa. I will be doing an essay (for my Japanese History class) on the Japanese filmaker and will need a few recommendations on any books out there that give a good and accurate account of the man and his movies.
Much appreciated.

Along with Graeme's suggestion, you should also pick up Kurosawa's book Something Like An Autobiography. That book is full of great anecdotes and how-we-did-this info along with the standard "tell us your life" story. Between those two books, you'll learn all you need to know on Kurosawa.
