Excuse me, after enjoying the glories of DVD, and building a good collection, now I hear the studios and hardware manufacturers want to come up with TWO other formats??
So far I know that Blu-ray is being promoted by Sony and HD DVD may be made by Toshiba, but other than that I don't know anything else. Tell me:
Will the new players play existing DVDs?
What better quality can they provide?
Are they being made to work with Hi Definition TVs?
And does ANYONE have ANY pictures of protype discs or players so I can even see what they may look like. I mean how much will they cost, I bet they'll be twice the price of current players...
And when will they launch in America? This Autumn 05 or Spring 2006?
