Best way to add speaker selector (1 Viewer)

I am currently using a Yamaha Receiver RX-V681.
I have a 5.1 system hooked up and a pair of Polk R-60i for zone 2.
Everything works great, but I also prewired for another three pairs of speakers in various spots around the house.
I would like to know what my options are for setting up all 4 pairs of speakers in zone 2 with the ability to control volume. Not looking to break the bank on equipment but want capability to run all 13 speakers safely and simultaneously. (5.1 + zone 2(8 speakers))

The truth is, AV receivers do not do whole-house audio well, and 13 speakers is certainly too many for that receiver. I’d suggest getting in touch with a whole-house specialist like Home Theater Direct and see if they can set you up with something that you could tie into your existing AVR.

Thanks Wayne, I spoke to tech at crutchfield who recommended I run a RCA from my AVR zone 2 out into an amp into a volume control speaker selector.

What do you think about that?
