well guys I made my purchase a Benq w5000 off of Craigslist its in good shape but I want to give it a thorough cleaning before I mount it on the ceiling any suggestions do i do a deep cleaning by disassembling should I say opening up and cleaning or do I just need to clean the prism and lens any suggestions let me know.

What makes you think it needs to be cleaned? Most guys just vacuum the vents from the outside. I read a lot of horror stories from people that opened up a projector to clean it, and made things worse(dust, etc.) getting inside.

The prism cleaning advice was based on my extensive research of JVC projectors, which is the manufacture you asked about in your previous thread. Its advice specific to JVC projectors and may not apply to Benq in either procedure and/or necessity.
