When does the new season start?

Personally I'd prefer NBC just stay away from BG. I remember talk before about the possibility of switching the show from Sci-Fi to NBC but the standards for success on NBC are going to be higher. Outstanding basic cable ratings are basement level for the networks and I'd rather BG just stay on Sci-Fi where it seems to be doing just fine.

Season two starts this Friday at 10:00 on Sci-Fi.

The mini does set up pretty much everything that happens in the series so I would say "yes."

Although, IMHO, the mini-series is not half as good as the series, so be sure to give the series a chance even if you don't like the mini.
