In my sonosub design, I decided to put the plate amp (PE 250W ) inside the tube for a cleaner look. What I'm wondering is how airtight it will be? I'm assuming it should be airtight since the design of a plate amp is meant to go into a subwoofer enclosure, but just wanted to be sure... also, would it make more sense to solder the wires to the pcboard side of the connectors instead of running them out and to the connectors on the outside of the amp? (which would be kinda silly)

thanks

The PE 250 I had was airtight. The connectors on the outside are not for connecting the sub driver, the wires you need exit the back of the amp.
