For the 25th anniversary of Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers, Columbia has added a gathering of cast, and issued magnificent new steelbook - suitable for collecting.

Other than that, and the addition of Dolby Vision, it appears to be the same 4k release that came our way for the films 20th in September of 2017.

Shot on the stuff called fillum, this was a beautiful 4k image harvest then, remains so today, and those with OLED panels will see the uptick.

It's a fun film that seemed to appeal to the adolescent age group. If it works for you, that's wonderful.

Image - 5 (Dolby Vision)

Audio – 5 (Dolby Atmos)

Pass / Fail – Pass

Plays nicely with projectors - Yes

Makes use of and works well in 4k - 4

Upgrade from previous 4k UHD - For the steelbook and Dolby Vision

Do you mean to say we’ll see an uptick going from the HDR10 disc, or only relative to the 1080 disc?

I think the old 4k looks great, though perhaps HDR brightness is a bit high at times, especially nighttime. Does the DV layer affect this?

HDR to DV. It’s there (so we’re told) even if we can’t see it.

Not a reason to re-purchase a disc.
