Liar's Moon, which was shot by John Hora, is an interesting Blu-ray from MVD.
While Imdb lists the film as 35mm, it appears to have possibly been a blow-up...
or the element used for transfer was a 16mm dupe neg.
Either way, the look and textures are absolutely 16mm quality. Grain is obvious, but proper for 16. Digital clean-up has left areas of magnetic grain, and scratches seem to have been partially wet-gated out.
An interesting production, and Broderick Crawford's final performance.
If you're a fan of this early Matt Dillon film, and are seeking glorious Blu-ray, this isn't it. If you're looking for the film in more than decent shape, have at it.

Pass / Fail – Pass
Upgrade from DVD - Not certain
Up-rez to 4k - We won't go there
