Guys, TT themselves already answered the "is it the same master as the 2013 Sony BD" question once already. The master on their disc is newer and is from a 4K source.

Further, I've seen the BDInfo scan of the Sony BD, and it's also worth noting that those discs have a DTS-HD MA 5.1 remix instead of the original mono audio, and they are missing the audio commentary track and, at least according to the back covers, any trailers for the film. That's discounting the addition of the isolated score on the TT release, as well.

So essentially, compared to the 2013 Sony BDs (meaning every other Blu-ray presently available), TT has a newer (4K) master, original mono audio, and more extras.

Twilight Time has stated that the back cover is a misprint. It is 2.0 stereo, not mono.

The DVD in the "Tracy & Hepburn The Definitive Collection" box has Dolby Digital 3.0 audio, for what that's worth. I assume it's the same disc as Disc #1 of the 2008 Sony "40th Anniversary Edition", not included in the box set, because it has the Spielberg/Brokaw/Karen Kramer/Quincy Jones introductions. I'm pretty sure the original 1999 DVD had that 3.0 audio track, too.

And speaking of Katharine Hepburn, Columbia Pictures, Grover Crisp and, perhaps, TT...
What will be the fate of "Suddenly, Last Summer"?

What's not to jump at?

Sam Spiegel (Producer)
Joseph L. Mankiewicz (Director)
Katharine Hepburn and Elizabeth Taylor (both nominated for Best Actress)
Jack Hildyard (Cinematographer)
Gore Vidal (adapted screenplay)
Tennessee Williams (based on his stage play)

Need more than 7 reasons?
How about that this is the film that reunited Liz Taylor with Montgomery Clift;
8 years after "A Place in the Sun".

Enough said.

They were reunited for "Raintree County" before "Suddenly Last Summer". It is a shame the only film they completed together prior to his accident was "Suddenly Last Summer". They were making "Raintree County" when he had the accident.

Twilight Time have already posted that they are waiting for the new 4K transfer. In other words, sooner or later, they will release this film on Blu-ray disc.
