I was just wondering if anyone knew why the ipad version of DVD Profiler was limited to 50 titles. I know the pc version, which I use, is limited to HQ scans for 50 titles, but you're still able to ad as many titles as you want....which I do. Why isn't the ipad version the same way ?
As per title, VEI have now put Jake 2.0 up for preorder for a release on May 3.
Was beginning to think they'd forgotten or cancelled it, following that original announcement back in 2015 or so along with all the others they've been trickling out...
WANTED: VHS/LaserDisc - Special Report: Journey to Mars (1996)
I'm looking for a reasonable copy of the Made-for-TV film "Special Report: Journey to Mars" (1996)
Anyone have one in their collection they'd be willing to part with?
I'd also appreciate any possible sources/sightings for finding...
I always liked THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW back when it aired. I think I saw every episode first-run. I even remember kind-of not warming up to it for a number of those early episodes. It was difficult to separate Mary from her old familiar role in THE DICK VAN DYKE SHOW and to accept all of these...
Does anyone know what kind of DVDs are more prone to this so-called "disc rot" than others?
What I am talking about is what happens when a certain DVD you're playing skips on a certain episode, that is, doesn't play smoothly. Sometimes, a certain DVD may not play at all because of this...
We really are in the end game of TV DVD releases. They are just not selling anymore and the companies which do vintage releases are dwindling. Sony, Universal, MGM and Fox have long been out of that business. CBS seems to be committed to finishing Gunsmoke and maybe Bonanza but that seems to be...
If MGM needs to celebrate not only their 95th anniversary but also their own legacy, can they collaborate with Warner Bros. on a publicity campaign (featuring a combination of movies and cartoons from pre-1986 MGM and a large batch of library titles currently owned by MGM) like they did in late...
It has all become far to common a series like Animal Kingdom, Jamestown, Mars, to name a few, has its first season released on BluRay and then future seasons on DVD. Seasons 1 and 2 of Animal Kingdom were released on BluRay and now season 3 is on DVD only. This is very disappointing and maybe...
I am brand new here and I did a search and I didn't find what I am looking for. Amazon offers a restored version of this film (2015 release) Do any of you know who did the restoration? The reviews there are all predated and apparently not related to this release. I have a copy that I took off tv...
To all,
The UK DVD edition of Orson Welles Great Mysteries (1973) volume 1 is now on pre-order at Network.
The legendary Orson Welles hosts thirteen mysterious tales from this much sought-after anthology series.
Showcasing a haunting theme by John Barry, these macabre – often supernatural –...
Hi everyone. I just searched, and couldn't find a discussion thread devoted to the entire Night Court series on DVD (just individual seasons), so decided to create one. Mods, I hope this is OK.
Though I missed Night Court when it first aired (primarily in the 1980's), I've been catching up...
Does anyone know what are the only Felix dvds that were officially released not PD dvds ? I'm only interested in up to the 60's . There some stuff on youtube but hard to watch with a giant watermark . I see there is a platinum edition on amazon for streaming in HD , Is it cropped and edited ...
I want to purchase a complete series DVD set that that has been hard to find but I've found new copies from a third party seller on Amazon with a 99% approval rating for $60.75 delivered and Deep Discount for $75 delivered. If I ordered it from the Amazon seller it would be cheaper but if it is...
I bet it would likely be Warner Bros., I think they should hire some Fox executives to take much better care of their library and distribution deals, and forge more licensing deals with smaller HE distributors/boutique labels, along with a new HE distribution deal with MGM (whose logo would be...
Why does it seem that many of the DVDs of TV shows from the 70's and 80's that have originally aired on ABC-- have better picture quality when compared to the ones from shows that appeared on CBS or NBC (the ones on film--not videotape) ? ---At least at a more consistent rate.
Shows on DVD that...
Well folks, on a rare night that I get to play on the laptop, I came across this 2014 article in the New York Post which listed & briefly described "Over 100 More Movies That Really Ought To Be On DVD" (by Lou Lumenick) but of course are not as of that writing. By extension of course Those...
Dear Guys:
Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I'd like (just like we do in tv shows on dvd section) to ask what you'd like to see come out on DVD or Blue that has never been released on DVD, or possibly on VHS? But please keep it within the realm of possibility and not just the entire...

Here's what I bought on DVD last weekend, and which my copy has been recently shipped and on its way to me.
There is but one review of this title so far (5 stars!), and the person that submitted the review says...
Is it true that the following original DVD releases of such shows as Star Trek (The Original Series), Mission: Impossible, The Brady Bunch, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, Taxi, Mork & Mindy and Cheers had used single-layer DVD5 and/or DVD9 discs?
For example, I'd say The Brady Bunch and Happy...
