I want to write a letter requesting that the film "Three Women" with Janet Gaynor, Lorreta Young, and Simone Simon be released on DVD. The Imdb says that it was originally released by 20th Century Fox. Before I write a letter I want to make sure they still own it. I am hoping they will...
Already? They just came back a couple weeks ago. I remember there was so much excitement at the beginning of the season because we were going to get 30 episodes of The Office (14 actual episodes), 26 of 30 Rock (15), 24 of Scrubs (12), and we were supposed to get Heroes PLUS 5 episodes of Heroes...
That was the most excruciating 30 minutes I have ever sat through.. I wasn't sure if the laugh track was supposed to be annoying but the timing seemed off, it seemed too loud, and every "joke" got a huge guffaw. The premise was somewhat interesting, and I liked Rob Cordry from the Daily...
I was disappointed to read today that TNT is not making a second season of Saved despite good ratings. They think another doctor show with Treat Williams will hold more of The Closers viewers than an edgy and well made show about ambulance drivers. They left a real messy cliffhanger too.
The Midnight Special is coming to DVD. None of the performances are the ones I was hoping for (Peter Gabriel era Genesis or Bob Welch era Fleetwood Mac) but it's a start.
Anyone else watch the pilot for Conviction on I-Tunes. I liked the courtroom and office stuff but (and I can't believe I am saying this) there was way too much phuking going on. I haven't seen Grey's Anatomy, but imagine this is the same thing with lawters instead of doctors. Also, do any NYC...
BTW, I am not anti-Olympics, but I question why the Olympics be on network TV (or at least a single "network" like NBC and its offspring. It is getting trounced in the ratings by America Idol, Lost, and Grey's Anatomy. A lot of the "sports" like figure skating, that appeal to or inspire...
Is it necessary to use the headset to play people online? I just don't want to where the headset when I'm playing a game. I guess can see how it would be important in co-op games. They need to come out with a Blue Tooth headset.
Two questions (so far). How do I deploy the sentry gun in part one of the game. On the rooftops level, I can't seem to keep what's his name alive even though I kill about 4 or 5 guys. What's the secret?
I am playing COD2 and have a question. When I completed the desert campaign, the next level reverted to Moscow 1941 (Trainig). Do you have to do more than survive to open another level?
I signed up for the Gold Account yesterday and have no clue what to do after signing in. How do I get to download stuff or play online? Should I not have a disc in the system? Can someone direct me to an online tutorial?
Just wondering if anyone else was planning on getting this. I have been playing Legends 1 (for the 5th or 6th time) and am looking forward to Legends 2. I hope that it doesn't take as long to get to the top level and we can get more bonus features for playing more than once (other than different...
Does anyone know what the rules are about copyrighted music in Podcasts? I'd like to do a short music show that my friends would have access to but I don't want to get sued.
Is there a list or web page devoted to films that were produced but never released. The most famous film I could think of was Roger Corman's Fantastic Four, but there must be others.
I don't want to start a thread that will immediatelty close, it's just John Stewart, Keith Olberman, Lewis Black, and Jay Leno all made references to it last night, but I could not find a news story anywhere. Can someone just post a link to a legitimate news story?
I just bought an ice shaver (snow cone maker) and want to know, from people who have them, what you use for flavor. Do you buy pre-made syrup? Or do you make syrup out of Kool Aid or just pour soda pop over the ice?
This came up at work today and our office know it all didn't have an answer: What exactly constitutes a "Yankee?" Is it just people from the North East, or does this include all Americans not from the former Confederate States? Do Southerners have a special terms for New Englanders, Texas...
I am trying to find information on a toy I had as a kid. It was a toy car dragster (Black Widow) that you would stick a plastic toothed cord in and pull out real fast and the car would go real fast on the ground. My cousin had a similiar set of cars that were demolishen derby, and when the cars...
There are a lot of threads for TV shows on DVD that after an initial season, the studios just give up on releasing subsequent sets due to "poor sales" (Mary Tyler Moore and Barney Miller come to mind). I've had this idea for awhile, and I'm reminded of it everytime I buy a season of Friends and...
Link Mixed feelings about this release. I'm glad it's finally coming out, but no extras? There were lots of deleted scenes, plus the original short film, not to mention the potential for a great commentary track by the cast. For $15 though, I'll still buy it.
2004 was a good year for music on DVD, but my list of wants is still long. Here's my list (so far): Let It Be Help! The Beatles at Shea Stadium The Beatles at the Budokan Paul McCartney & Wings: Rockshow Ladies & Gentlemen The Rolling Stones The Stones in the Park Nirvana: Live...
According to the "September Preview" box on the ICE website, there is supposed to be an FZ DVD release in September. Anyone have the new ICE magazine that will tell us what it says? Is it by chance Roxy?
DVD Times says an SE of Daved & Confused (and Fast Times at Ridgemont High) is coming out September 14. My suspicion is that it's just a repackaging of the old discs but I hope I'm wrong. ------------- Dazed & Confused and Fast Times SEs in September Universal Studios Home Video have...
