Agree. I desperately want to see the season two episode "The Bronze Locust" with guest stars Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Loggia, and music by John Williams. I'd buy the set just for that episode.
From a post on Blu-ray.com:
"Season 1 episodes have the episode promo clips after the opening credits, like the Shout Factory set did. The original Universal set had them before the credits, and all indications are that they aired with them before the credits.
Also, the promo clip is missing...
In 2016 I bought Twilight Time's Blu-release of Vincent Price classic Theater of Blood. The picture was so-so quality -- watchable, but far from great.
Does anyone know if the more recent release by KL Studio Classics used a better master? One review would seem to indicate so.
I'm confused...
The Stepford Wives and Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.
Stepford apparently might never get released on Blu-ray because rights-owner Bristol Myers Squibb doesn't feel like it. But what's up with Alice?
S7, E21 ("Mask for a Charade") is missing. There's an early scene with a nightclub, so maybe music rights?
A shame it's missing, since it's Sutton Roley's last episode as director. (And a great episode, too.)
It's my understanding that Jeanne Bal does not appear in any season 2 episodes of Mr. Novak.
She was originally slated to have a bigger role in the second season, but the show's new producer actually wanted to reduce the number of episodes she appeared in. So, she quit the show before the...
Five+ years ago, we were celebrating that LARAMIE was running on the Encore (Starz) channel, with remastered HD prints. I just finished season 4 and those prints are indeed beautiful -- stellar picture and sound.
But the prints used for the DVD releases were apparently another matter...
THE INVADERS (1967-68). While the DVDs are watchable, a Blu-ray upgrade of both seasons would look spectacular. (Paramount Syndication Bible -- not updated online since 2019 -- says THE INVADERS hasn't even been transferred to HD. I'm still hopeful, though.)
Ditto ONE STEP BEYOND (1959-61)...
Expecting a possible good price next month at Cyber Monday sales, I've been pondering buying DVD box sets of complete series, such as GUNSMOKE and THE STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO.
But ... what if Paramount decides to release these on Blu-ray someday? I don't want to double dip.
Would be great to...
Just became acquainted with the 1962-63 series WIDE COUNTRY.
Does anyone have the complete series DVD set? The reviews of it don't say much about the picture & sound quality. I know it was sourced from 16mm prints and definitely not remastered.
What, really, is the video & audio quality of...
With so many Blu-ray and DVD sets of Laurel & Hardy shorts floating around (both the sound shorts and the silent ones) -- what is the best collection of their silent shorts? Specifically, their later silent shorts such as "Liberty"? (that short, released in 1929, isn't included on Flicker...
