Red Dwarf Series 5 cover art

I've just stumbled across the British cover art for Red Dwarf Series 5. The US versions are normally a little different but I hope they keep the "High Lister" and "High Rimmer" on the cover.

    What's going on with Oz?

I've noticed Season 4 is twice as long as all the other seasons. Do you know if this means HBO will split the season into two parts, or market it as one (very expensive) box?

    What's going on with Oz?

Has anyone heard what's happening with HBO's Oz on DVD? One release per year seems a little Simpsons-esque. At this rate the whole run won't be out until 2007-8. Me sad.

An idea for (yet more) Star Trek DVD's

Well having watched a few of those re-edited episodes I can honestly say I enjoyed them more. Particularly "All Good Things" which included two or three deleted scenes.

An idea for (yet more) Star Trek DVD's

I was just watching Best of Both Worlds, and the inconvenience of having to open two different box sets (and change discs) got me thinking: Wouldn't it be good to have all of the Star Trek 2-part episodes re-edited to feature length and presented in a shiny new box set?? It's nothing new of...

    Star Trek Voyager menu screens

Scott, I don't have a source on this as it was a rumour that's been doing the rounds. The last place I heard it mentioned was on TrekWeb.com's BBS.

    Star Trek Voyager menu screens

That explains the delay. Paramount plans to release TOS boxsets (hooray!) around the time Seasons 5 - 7 would be due. It's likely their schedule is so crowded they can't give exact dates that far ahead. By this time next year my Trek DVD collection should be complete :)

    Star Trek Voyager menu screens

Looks like DVDAnswers.com has posted screenshots for the new Star Trek Voyager Season 1 menus (can't post the URL, not enough posts). dvdanswers.com/index.php?r=0&s=1&c=3260&n=1&burl= An improvement on the DS9 menus, but still nowhere near the excellent TNG ones. And while we're on the...

    Between-Release Nervousness

Whatever happened to good old-fashioned market research? Why can't the studios find out which shows collectors will definately buy ALL seasons of, and commit to releasing said shows ... I'm a big fan of the Larry Sanders Show and was devastated to learn I'd never get Season 2+. I'm sure if...

    Red Dwarf DVD spines

Yeah, R4 always get shafted when it comes to cover art. Check out our Fawlty Towers boxset - it looks like something a cat coughed up. A grainy publicity shot from the 70's, with a tree that looks like it was knocked up on MS Paint. I bought the R1 version solely for the cover art - a...

    Red Dwarf DVD spines

Yeah, I've seen them. They're pretty cool. I'm starting to regret getting the R1's.

    Red Dwarf DVD spines

I've been waiting a whole year for series 3 and 4 of Red Dwarf to be released and now that I finally have them in my hot little hands, I can't help but feel disappointed to notice that the logos on the spines don't line up. They're offset by quite a bit and I can't see any sort of pattern...

    Subtitles

Which region are you referring to? I know that most European discs have a wide selection of subtitles and language tracks because of the countries they cover. Most Australian discs also have these options, as most of our "prints" from the British R2 masters. Personally I'd rather buy the...
