Which would be better, the scaler in my tv or a DVI upscaling dvd player? (1 Viewer)

i received a Toshiba 65hx83 yesterday and I notice it can upscale 4801/480p to 1080i. I was wondering do you think I would get the better picture from just using my Panasonic RP-91 and let the set upscale or get a dvi dvd player, Bravo, Samsung, Denon..., and let the player do it? Thank You.

In the testing I've done, you'll likely see the best picture by taking your RP91 OUT of progressive scan mode and letting the TV scale 480i to 1080i. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but...

The only 1080i output DVD player I've tried is the Lite-On 2001. It does a very decent job, but my Panasonic F85 at 480i output gives a nicer image on my 46H83.
