new RHCP, anybody get it yet? Whaddya think? (1 Viewer)

I got it on tuesday... I'm not a hardcore RHCP fan, but i do enjoy their music...

I have Blood Sugar Sex Magik, but not Californication. BY THE WAY compared to BSSM is slower IMHO, more mellow... Where BSSM has alot of 'rapping' sections and alot of bass slapping and very rhythmic music, the majority of this is composed of smooth harmonies, and a smoother sound (esp songs like TEAR), comparable to songs from BSSM like Under the Bridge.

How bout your opinions?

I listened to mp3s, and I wasn't impressed at all. I loved their older stuff...but now it seems that they've gone the Aerosmith way... a bunch of ballads.
