Tonight I put in a copy of "Commando" (non-anamorphic 1.85:1) into my Pioneer Elite DV-37 and watched a couple minutes in 480p. I then decided (for the first time) to see what the same scene looked like in 960i. I went into the Video setup menu on the DV-37, switched over to "Interlaced" mode and then went into the "Advanced" menu of my Mits WS-65907 and chose 960i.
When I hit the "Info" button on the Mits to verify my settings, it displayed 480i, not 960i. Hmm...
For some reason, I feel like I'm having a major brain fart here - what am I doing wrong?

My 55908 does the same thing, so I don't think it's anything you are doing wrong.
It's probably just a design oversight in the info display.

David,
So what you're saying is that the TV is in fact displaying 960i, despite the fact that the OSD says "480i" - correct? That's cool - at least the feature works and I can watch in 960i if I want. I didn't spend a lot of time comparing the picture quality of 480p vs. 960i because I was a little thrown by the Info OSD.
Thanks!
