anyone listened to lowther speakers (1 Viewer)

I was surfing the webb and ran across some Lowther speakers. Has anyone here had any experience with them? How do they sound? Mike

Are you referring to the website out of Chesterfield MO? I listened in on the Rethm (?) which uses a single Lowther driver and came away not very impressed. To me the midrange is overly prominent to what I would describe it as 'in your face'. Nonetheless there are others who like the horn sound esp for their efficiency. The fact that the single driver speaker doesn't use any crossover can also be a design advantage.

Just checked the Rethm ( http://www.rethm.com ) website and there's mention of Lowther as well.
