Okay. Just a few quick impressions of my new DV-47A. I was a little surprised at the slight build of the player. It is very light. I was using a DV-38A which is quite heavy. The picture quality was excellent. A little better than the DV-38A. This unit is supposed to use a 12 bit video DAC...

Barry what do you mean only one aspect ratio control compared to the 37 or 38A? I'm not sure what you mean by that. I have the 38A but I'm not sure what you mean by aspect ratio control.

Andrew I currently have the DV-38A & it supposedly has the chroma bug but I don't notice it so I don't think it will bother me on the 47A either. I have it hooked up to a Elite 710 & I don't see it on the 64" screen. I guess it bothers some people & some people it doesn't.

Keith Soundpros.com has the 47A for $750 total including shipping. They're supposed to be driving up to Long Beach tomorrow to get them from Pioneer. I usually drop by to pick my Elite equipment up from them since they're only about 15 minutes away. They're supposed to be receiving 4 units...
