Okay. My memory must be playing games with me then. I guess I never had it digital. I'd buy this on a price drop but if the physical disc is still expected then it's probably worth waiting for that and getting the digital code with it.
I am hoping this new 4k digital is an indication that we...
I raced to check my copy. Yeah, they reverted it back to HD.
So, your opinions here...
Based on past practices, is this downgrade only temporary until the disc is released? Paramount is generally good about giving us 4k upgrades.
I forgot I had it too, but not in the same manner.
I didn't have this in my digital collection but I knew I owned the 3D Blu-ray.
I opened up the 3D Blu-ray, found the digital code sheet inside, said a little prayer that it was still good, and went to the redemption site. With little...
One of the best Blu-ray purchases a year or two ago was that John Hughes multi-movie set that included discs and digital codes. Most all (if not all) those films upgraded to 4k on iTunes which is just a wonderful bonus!
Thanks, Todd!
Another observation...
My Blu-ray of INGLORIOUS BASTERDS has a DVD digital copy disc that you simply insert into a MAC or PC to redeem.
Just tried inserting the disc into my Mac but got a message that the app developer needs to update their application for it to work. So, I am...
A long time ago I had THOUGHT that I did a complete job of entering all my Blu-ray digital codes into iTunes.
Today I was looking to see if I had the 2012 remake of Les Misérables in my iTunes library since I own it on Blu-ray and it recently received a 4k release.
Not in my digital library...
Well, actually, I wasn't certain if you were referring to the actual copy you have in your library being 4k or what is being advertised. That is the reason why I gave an example of what I was seeing on my end.
It looks like this is only a temporary issue and if had made a purchase, I would be...
I looked at my iTunes purchase of A BRONX TALE and it is only HD. Purchased it last year.
Will it eventually upgrade to 4k or does it need to be repurchased?
Thanks, Robert.
I had to IMDB this to see the order of films
So, SERPICO -> GODFATHER II -> DOG DAY AFTERNOON
Going to go ahead and buy Serpico. Thank you and Nick for the recommendation.
I have never seen SERPICO and I believe this film was made shortly before or after DOG DAY AFTERNOON, my all-time favorite Pacino movie (with CARLITOS WAY and THE GODFATHER being up there as well).
Is this worth a blind buy?! I mean, for $10 it seems like a no-brainer to purchase and watch...
I am concerned about comments such as that as well.
It may seem like I am being biased towards my own site, but the moderating team does an excellent job of keeping the discussion civil here. If there is an altercation, all the member needs to do is to report it and the post is taken care of...
Just to let you know...
There is a 4k disc release coming soon from what I have been hearing that should include a digital code.
Just in case you would rather wait for the disc.
I'm probably going to jump on this no matter what. I really love this film.
GHOST is another title available 4k with no corresponding disc in sight. Still hoping for Saturday Night Fever on 4k disc. You would THINK that one is a sure bet.
I suspect we will see SNF (one of my all-time favorite films) released to 4k disc very shortly. I would rather have this film on disc.
Alas, I don't think the Director's Cut will be in 4k, but anything is possible and I hope Paramount does the right thing here.
In most cases, the iTunes 4k streaming should always beat an up-rez'd Blu-ray.
Of course, that depends on a good Internet connection and what device you are streaming from.
No, I am not adventurous like that. I have my Cheap Charts Wish List and when prices drop, I am notified.
I don't have many titles on that Wish List anyway.
Really, the whole digital purchasing experience across platforms can be so frustrating that I just don't have time on my hands -- even...
I love digital. I don't regret going head-first into the format a year ago.
I always have this conversation with Robert Crawford about how screwed up everything is across platforms.
But then again, when has the Home Entertainment industry ever been unified in format or delivery methods? It's...
