Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

I actually did discover a way to list the email in order of time received, putting the OLDER messages at the top. All you need to do is click on INBOX and select arrange by: DATE and OLDEST ON TOP. The only drawback to this is that unless you regularly clean out your INBOX, you will get...

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Kimmo, As always, Thank You. Another question... How good is Outlook in backing up ALL the data (emails & contacts) so that it can be restored on another computer? I ask this because although Outlook has a backup/restore function built into it, there are a half dozen companies...

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Another question.... Is there a way to add a "BCC" (blind "CC") to the address field? I'm surprised that option isn't already there.

In the 2007 version it still toploads. And though, as Dave points out above, there are loads of options to sort mail exactly the way you want, the one option that is missing is to sort OLD to NEW.

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

This top loading (putting new messages at top) is driving me crazy to the point that it might drive me back to using my other email programs. It would not be so bad if when reading bottom up, that with the deletion of each read email it advances you up to the next message -- it doesn't...

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Kimmo, What is top posting? One thing I don't like is that it puts NEW messages on top instead of OLDER ones. Messages should be read in order as received and doing some right-clicking I didn't see an option to reverse it. Also, what sort of quoting problems do you find? Thanks

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Hey Paul, I hope you don't mind if I can continue to abuse your knowledge of Outlook as I need to figure something out here. Look at the way I type my messages. You no doubt notice that I like to keep my messages formatted a certain way in that I go halfway across the page and...

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Paul, That did the trick, and a valuable one at that! Thank You! Interesting that for years I dodged Outlook for email. I used Eudora and more recently, Barca (from the folks at Poco). Only after installing Office 2007 did I take notice of Outlook as an email program. I like the fact...

Paul, Know where I can find this option? I am using Office 2007 Enterprise and hopefully the settings are the same. Thanks

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Bryan, I do use an antivirus program so that should help. Another question.... If I have Outlook on my desktop and on my desktop is there a BACKUP and RESTORE feature that allows me to backup my email/contact data on my desktop and restore it to my laptop so I can keep both in synch?

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

Yeah, Jeff, I have. I think I am most interested in Outlook because of its smoother integration with Windows and PDAs. I just have to find out from current users of Outlook as to how virus-prone the softeware is. Also need to now if I can create stationary to put my HTF logo at the...

Your opinion of OUTLOOK as a primary email program

For years I have migrated away from Microsoft's email program opting to use Eudora and then PocoMail/Barca instead. Been very happy with Barca but the problem is that they charge you for every new PC you install their program on, and now that I am thinking of buying a new computer, I am...
