I thought it was dead three years ago. I still see a nook in the wild, but rarely. Everyone has an iPad or kindle for reading. The main buyers I saw a few years ago were lowest-cost shoppers.
I'm not shopping for either one, but with these devices I follow the herd. Kindle is more popular and has a better "ecosystem" and is $50 cheaper than the Nook. That alone would push me to buy the Fire or Kindle. But, since I've already got a Kindle SO, I'd stay in the Amazon system for...
