Indeed! I loved his chats with Dr. Bashir. In fact, one of my favorite aspects of ST:TNG and DS9 are the character relationships and interactions. They were very real, to me -- the way my life would be if I scriptwriters and theme music :)

I agree. It's hard to make a movie exceed the series finale. (I get teary when I catch the ending of it. :)) Perhaps I can pull back and recommend that if the movie isn't on par with the best ST:TNG episodes, then don't bother. But it's okay to do a movie that merely equals the greatest...

I hope you're not lumping this with "all the bad TV shows." The latter portion of DS9 is generally considered the equal or even superior of TNG. I didn't watch until about third season, when Worf joined, but it soon hooked me. It met and even exceeded TNG in characters, stories, and kickin'...
