I would love to believe that it is in progress, but all this does seem a little vague. Agreed. I think Criterion would do some justice to GD, they can be miracle workers!!

but we all understand why Karloff was MIA in the part earlier in the thread. Sad, it would have been just that much better, although I do like Massey in the part as well!!
There was some talk on this thread about it being in production but no date given as to release. It’s on my hit list for sure, Blu-ray heaven, a nicely restored version would just pop even in black-and-white.
the 1952 Radio stage play would be fun, if just to hear Karloff do his thing. But that's just it, you really need to SEE the action and not just the audio of a feature like A&OL. The visuals are part and parciel to the caous of it!!

the only time where Karloff was in a semi comedic role as a killer was with Danny Kaye "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty". Kind of that same vain as Basil Rathbone in The Court Jester. Get It Got it Good!!!
