For me Harrison's universe caters so well, very much in the same vein as the Guardians of the Galaxy mix of personalities and fast and hard action....perfect for movies or TV series!!

Agreed, that would be awesome as either TV or movie. But the common thread with many of these series is the total lack of pearing into the original materials (books) and relying on the watered down rewrites via comic books or graphis novels of those characters....and it shows every time...

That's a hard one, but here are some ideas; yonger versions of these guys, for various reasons...in a semi serious portral I'd go with either Bruce Campbell (Evil Dead) or maybe Johnny Depp . For a wider ranged portral of the slippery diGriz, a few ideas could be Jack Nicholson, Hugh Jackman or...

Yeah I think a movie series would be great, kind of like the Hobbit series. But this really is more fantasy themed then Syfy themed, but I appreciate the addition.

yeah you're right it is Larry Niven, my bad!! That Ringworld is the one I'm talking about...it's been a while since I've read it but the story still sticks on my mind...

Ringworld should be the first release, because it introduces the first set of characters to the storyline. Doing Riverworld is like doing the Return of the Jedi before New Hope....and yeah, I agree the Riverworlds looked like comic book versions, shallow and confused.

I loved many sci-fi authors over the years, since seeing Foundation on Apple+ it brought to mind other book series that have bee over looked. Like Phillip Joe Farmers Ringworld series, or Harry Harrison's Stainless Steel Rat series. And one of my favorite lost series that todaye could be done...
