Even more frustrating, The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that The CW was interested in renewing for a final wrap up season, but the show's lease on the studio space ran out on May 1 and Discovery was too cheap to renew it while negotiations played out.
The "Batwoman" cancellation didn't bother me so much, but this one hurts:

I think Matt Ryan's new character is a better fit than John Constantine was, too. He brings some of the earnest decency that Ray Palmer used to add to the mix.
I believe for contractual/union reasons it was cheaper to make it as a separate thing than as a special episode of LoT.
