What about for movies streamed to my TV with an optical out to my reciever? Would I be losing sound quality that way? Encanto sounded amazing when testing it yesterday.
Thanks so much for the sub advice!
I pay for Amazon music for HD quality music but through my research yesterday it appears that the Amazon App via Roku gives mp3 quality, not CD or ultra HD quality like it does on the pc and mobile app. I could be wrong though.
Also regarding audio, I'm using...
Hi all,
I'm running a 3.1 setup (two fronts, one center and one sub) and I currently have it hooked up via optical. I use the system for movies and music listening.
Am i losing audio quality with this optical setup or is optical giving me everything I need?
My system is below:

Thanks so much for your help. I changed the receiver and sub to 80hz and I hear a small but noticeable improvement at 80hz. Also, I changed my other speakers from large to small and I noticed an improvement there as well.
Movies are sounding great! I haven't tried music yet because the...
Awesome, thanks for your help (and for every else's help as well)! I set up the jumpers using regular speaker wire and the speakers sound much better now! Can't believe I had these speakers hooked up wrong this whole time.
One more question... Even though the speakers sound much better now...
Is there a certain type of wire I should use to connect the hi fi and low fi? I'm assuming I break the speaker wire apart so that I connect positive to positive and negative to negative? Would buying bi-wire be a better / easier to set up option?
I attached a pic, it appears that I definitely don't have a jumper. Should I try to order from bowers and wilkins?
Also, I realize that the banana plugs are not hooked up the way they should, I just had a really hard time getting the caps off of the connectors.
Ok thanks, I'll stick with this receiver then. One more question, should I be plugging the speaker wire into the hi-fi connection or into the low-fi connection?

Hello all,
I'm using a Yamaha RX-V373 reciever to power two DM603 S3 fronts, one LCR 60 S3 front, one ASW 600 Sub.
Is the RX-V373 sufficient to power these speakers or do I need a larger receiver?
Thanks!
