I bought a 4K TV & 4K player today. I also bought “Frozen” and “The Princess and the Frog” 4K discs....I honestly can’t tell a difference between 4K and regular Blu-ray.
I’m thinking about buying a 4K TV but I just wanted to ask specifically what the differences are between them and a regular HD TV?
Do you have to have s 4K blu-ray player or will a regular one work for 4K blu-rays?
The only shows I care about at this point are:
The Beverly Hillbillies
Petticoat Junction
Step by Step
Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper
Amen
I’d like to see these shows completed.
I appreciate the offer but I already have a guy that I trade with. He has awesome quality complete years.
It’s a shame that only scattered episodes are available among collectors from 1965-1983.
I’ve recently just started back up watching my “DAYS” collection. I’m currently in July of 1999. Storylines are really good with Mike & Carrie and John & Gina. Awesome to see these episodes again! Love “DAYS”!
I was 16 when these episodes originally aired and I remember them like it was yesterday.
Luckily, most of all the shows I really want have already been released in full.
There are still a few that I wish would come out before it’s too late:
The Beverly Hillbilles (remaining seasons)
Petticoat Junction (remaining seasons)
Amen (complete series)
I recorded sporadic episodes from TGIF back in the mid 90s...also a “Circus of the Stars” on VHS. I don’t own this anymore.
I also recorded a full VHS of “Mama’s Family” when it was on TBS. I still own this.
My first TV on DVD release was season 2 of “All in the Family”.
It actually doesn’t take too long to watch a complete year. Each year has approximately 240 episodes. If you watch 4-5 episodes a day, you can polish off a solid year in about 2 months.
I’ve watched years 1995, 1996, 1997, & 1998 of “Days of our Lives” in about 2 years time. I’m currently...
Updating my list:
Alice: seasons 1-8
Flo: complete series
Family Matters: seasons 5-9
Perfect Strangers: seasons 3-6
Hangin' with Mr. Cooper: season 1
Step by Step: seasons 1-3
Almost positive these will wrap up on dvd next year:
Alice
Step by Step
Perfect Strangers
“Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper” may finally get another season released from Warner Archive.
I’d like for “The Beverly Hillbillies” to get another season released but knowing the release history of this...
I’m so thankful to Warner Archive for releasing some of my favorite sitcoms but they’re really abusing my wallet. I’ll be so happy when they finally wrap up “Alice”, “Step by Step”, and “Perfect Strangers”.
Actually, it is unusual. With all titles I’ve ordered from them, WBShop.com has always had the dvd listed about a month ahead of time to allow for preorders.
