I have four of these subs needing someone with the space to put them. I did mount them in two test boxes and they work and sound great. They just can not go where they need to in the room to sound their best. They are in brand new condition (less than an hour on them) and are in their original...
I use the BT77's on my rear Paradigm Monitor 3's v3 and they are a little larger then B tech recommends but they work great (lost a bit of adjustment because of size). They are strong, adjustable, and the price is right.
Got my test boxes built, just have a little bracing left. Two enclosures, 6ft^ per enclosure and two 11-083's subs per box. I just plan on testing for best placement so I just used some cheap 5/8" OSB for the test boxes. Should I line or poly fill the enclosures before I seal them up?
Just go to radio shack and get some speaker wire (14 or 16ga), cut them to length, strip the ends, and plug em in. If your sub has both right and left interconnects then you need a Y at the end of you sub wire coming from your receiver. Most "sub interconnect kits" come with the Y adaptor.
You need to stay with the Monitor line if you are keeping the 370. I run a pair of 7's up front in a large room and they do surprisingly well, so I recommend 7's or 9's. How big is your room and what are you currently powering with?
If you keep a look out on ebay you can probably find some replacement B&W drivers for those speakers for cheap. I don't know if the 602's and the 601's have the same drivers but there is a 6" 602 driver for sale right now, woofer model ZZ10129. Pull yours and check the woofer model #.
Yes, I have seen few 1080p files that don't play smooth on my computer. I'll see if I can find that post on avs. I really like that it uses a hd so I can bring and use it anywhere. I am gonna go get it.
You can find stands at Parts-express. Their Sanus steal stands look good, won't brake the bank, and come in several different heights. Just put speaker stands in their site search, you should find something you like.
I use wall mounts for my rear speakers. B Tech BT77 are strong (55lbs max), nice looking, and will hold mid size speakers very well. I had to go wall mount after the kids knocked the monitor 3's over a few times.
I agree with Lance. Another way to get what you want out of a pair of floorstanders is to bi amp/bi wire, it allows you to better set the freq to your liking. Not saying a good pair of speakers does not have a good set of crossovers in them. The range on my Paradigm's monitor 7 greatly increased...
I have had my 3808ci for about a year now and I love it. Yamaha, HK, Marantz are all worth looking at also. I left Onkyo out because I replaced one with the Denon and there was no comparison. I know for a fact that the new Onkyo receivers get very hot, scary hot.
Yes, I have had those horror stories with Dish and I only have two more months that I have to stay with them (thank you Jesus). The first installer was at my house for 10hr. trying to align this Stuper Dish. I already had a poll set and all my drops made to my rooms so all he had to do was align...
This site will not let that link you posted work. I put an order in for the four 10's. If they don't give me what I want I can add something further down the road. Never had good luck with sealed enclosures and low frequencies. Wrong sub for it or not enough air space I guess. Now I need to...
120 is not a bad price. I didn't see what ohm the voice coils are in the link. I don't even know what ohm load this Paradigm amp will run. Ultra D class car amps can normally handle 1 ohm load but that's a car amp. A guy at work has a Seismic 12 (same amp I have) but he won't let my crack it...
Wow that thing is small, let me know how it works for you when you get time to play with it. I am a little more interested in the video side of it, I stream my music from my computers to my Denon so I will not be loading any music on my portable HDs. I have a 80g passport and a 500g WD also. It...
I will start by saying that most of my experience with subs and sub building has only been in a car. So I need some good HT advice. My equipment, Denon 3808ci running my old Paradigm monitor 7's, cc350, and monitor 3's v3 rear. Had a ps1000 sub which I gave to my Dad because it wasn't doing...
Currently building a sub for home theater. Going with Digital designs sub because I already have some and they are some nasty beasts. I picked up a non-working paradigm Seismic 12 amp. It is currently being repaired by paradigm, hope to have it back soon. Does anyone know if this amp runs a...
I have owned a pair pair of monitor 7's, cc350, and monitor 3's for a long time now. They have seen a few receivers in their time, but the two that stood out were Onkyo and Denon. I am running a Denon 3808 right now which is a better match than the Onkyo 787 was. I don't know if it was the 20wpc...
