Not to hijack your thread, but I am looking at a similar Samsung but in a 55 inch. How much of a factor is motion blur on a LCD vs LED? The 700 series features 240Hz refresh rate and the 600 series has a 120 HZ refresh, opinions?????

Have a Sharpvision XV-Z10000U DLP projector, can anyone reccomend a good mounting bracket? Tried Sharp's website but can't seem to find one designed for this model. It provides and excellent picture and super gray scale just need a good mount for the ceiling. Any input appreciated.

I figured the older film stock was not capable of the color saturation of new film stock. It would probably be a lot of work to clean up the old reels - if done properly I am sure they could look better. Look at what Lucas did to the Star Wars films once they were re-mastered, looking at them...

GlennH I don't doubt some of the old classics are fine films, just that the audio and image quality are so poor that I don't know if they deserve the HD transfer from old film stock.

Yumbo I agree on your summary. Overall a super player, also found a way to do 4X3 better as some found this annoying. But, my opinion is squewed anyways as I ONLY bought this for HI DEF, may have some limitations for other aspects. The DVD upscaling is better than I expected though.

After much thought I have ordered the Panasonic BD55K as it seems to be maybe a little better in the audio department. Although about $12 more than the Sony I know for sure it will decode and output both Dolby TrueHD and dts HD Master Audio. I will give my input when I recieve it.

Boss checked the manual. No options for connecting to a processor with 5.1 analog inputs, just shows how to connect to a 7.1 analog in. Anyone else considering this player that has 5.1 ins and how did you connect it??

My PS3 does this with some DVD trailers, then when the movie starts it fills the screen. I am using a 16X9 Sharpvision DLP Projector at 720p. Can't quite figure it out yet.

Boss - sounds as though this Sony is a winner. I am hearing the sound is noticeably better than Dolb Dig or DTS thru coax or optical. I also have a non HDMI equipped Yamaha Reciever. Now I just need to order.

Have a super Velodyne Servo F1500 but looking for L, C, R left rear and right rear speakers as my old Polks are dated. What models would be good in B&W for $3K for everything?? Any input appreciated. I am using a projector so shielding is not an issue.:cool: :D
